Frequently asked questions

Got questions? I’ve got answers.

  • I am located in Wellington, Florida, and provide online therapy services throughout Florida.

  • Telehealth services are offered through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. You can access services from the privacy and comfort of your own home as long as you have a stable internet connection and a phone or computer with a webcam and microphone.

  • At this time, all services are being provided through telehealth. My clients enjoy the privacy and convenience of receiving therapy in their own home or other private location.

  • My session fees are $175 for an initial assessment, and $150 for follow up appointments. I accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as HSA and FSA cards through my secure online portal.

  • Sometimes people choose to utilize their health insurance or EAP benefits to help cover the cost of therapy. I am an in-network provider with Optum (United Healthcare), Optum EAP, Florida Blue, Aetna, Cigna, Cigna EAP, National EAP and Oscar.

For clients who want to use their insurance but have a plan that I’m not in network with, I encourage you to directly contact your insurance provider to see if you have out of network benefits. I can provide you a superbill that has all the details needed to submit to your insurance company if you have a mental health diagnosis. I cannot guarantee reimbursement of therapy fees from your insurer.

During your free consultation I can answer any questions you may have.

  • Please remember to cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. For your convenience, you can reschedule your appointment through my secure online portal. It’s super easy!

Your appointment time will be held exclusively for you. If you provide less than 24 hours’ notice, you will be responsible for the entire session fee.

  • During your first appointment we’ll take our time to get to know one another. My goal is to understand what brought you into therapy, what challenges you’re experiencing, and how you hope things can be better after therapy. I also want to hear about your strengths, and what you enjoy. I’ll answer any questions you may have and together we can develop a plan to help you reach your goals.

  • Because each person is unique, the length of time can vary. Generally, we’ll meet weekly in the beginning to help us make progress toward your goals. In general, keeping your appointments and actively participating helps make progress more likely. Over time, we may meet somewhat less frequently when you are feeling better. Some people may start to notice some improvement within 6-8 sessions, even though they have not reached all of their goals.

  • You have a right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” which will explain how much your mental health care may cost if you are paying out of pocket for therapy. This estimate will be provided to you through your secure online client portal. You may also request to be provided a hard copy of this estimate, and you can print the estimate from the client portal. Please see the link for the No Suprises Act in the footer of the website if you would like additional information.
